Dr Hawkins is a Consultant Physician in HIV/Genitourinary Medicine at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London . He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Division of Medicine Imperial College School of Medicine.

He studied medicine at University College London, where he did an intercalated BSc in Biochemistry and subsequently completed his clinical studies at University College Hospital Medical School . His clinical career was initially in General Medicine gaining his membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1981. His interest in infections led him to pursue a career in genitourinary medicine. From 1982 – 1986 he was an MRC Research Fellow with Prof. David Taylor Robinson in the Division of Sexually Transmitted Diseases at Northwick Park Hospital and also Honorary Senior Register at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington.

He became a Consultant in Genitourinary Medicine in 1986 at St. Stephen's Hospital in Chelsea , which subsequently merged with Westminster Hospital becoming the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital .

He has published over 100 papers and written a standard atlas on HIV and STDs. He has been on the Government's Expert Advisory Group on AIDS (EAGA) for over a decade and has Chaired or been a Member of numerous Working Parties, producing National Guidelines for the management of HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections. He is also an author of guidelines on the management of HIV in pregnancy on behalf of the British HIV association (BHIVA).

He is a Member of the British Association of Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) Clinical Governance Committee and Chairman of the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust Hospital Drugs Committee.

One of the company directors of LCD Screens Ltd is Lovelle Smith. In 1991 Lovelle trained as a Registered General Nurse at Guys Hospital in London. During her training she worked in a variety of settings gaining varied experience which included surgical, medical and sexual health nursing.
On completion of her training, Lovelle went on to work in ear, nose and throat day surgery at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London.

Lovelle began her career in sexual health nursing in 1995 at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital where as sister; she managed on the on-site Genito-urinary Medicine (GUM) department until 2003.
Until May 2004 she was the Senior Nurse & Administration Manager for Southwark Primary Care Trust, Sexual & Reproductive Health Services. She has recently taken the post of Senior Analyst at Cerner Corporation.

Caroline is also one of the Directors in LCD Screens Ltd. She qualified as a registered nurse in 1993 at London University Hospital. Her training was extensive with a 'hands on' approach, covering many different areas of medicine and mental health.
Her first job as a qualified nurse was in the community helping to run a convalescence home for patients of all ages. She then went on to spend an exciting four years in Accident and Emergency while studying for her degree in Health studies.

While in A & E, Caroline became interested in HIV/ AIDS and shortly afterwards began working at one of the largest centres for HIV/AIDS, the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Caroline worked in the HIV/AIDS speciality for three years before moving into sexual health. She currently works with NHS Direct.
